Ce tableau (et la plupart de la série Itération ) a été réalisé à l’Atelier du geste. J’y travaille très rapidement, à partir d’un idée, d’une sensation ou d’un sentiment immédiats. Ici, c’est le besoin d’un espace de liberté pour ressentir, penser et agir.

After an hour of snowshoeing in a dense forest, we arrived at a snow-covered pond, a white space pigmented by few cattails in the middle of a dark forest. I immediately put this vision in correspondence with my search for an image representing a space of liberty: liberty of feeling, liberty of thinking, and liberty of acting. The day after, I did this painting.
