Après deux tableaux réalisés vitement, je me suis versé un café. Pour un instant, j’ai pris conscience de ce geste coutumier de boire un liquide noir, et cette idée devint le germe de ce tableau-ci.

After two paintings done at a fast pace, I poured myself a cup coffee. For a moment, I had an acute conscience of this routine action of drinking a black liquid. I used this idea as the starting point of this painting.
